Prior to founding DERENIA CAPITAL, Oussama has accumulated nearly 10 years of experience in the Private Equity industry in Casablanca and Barcelona. He has held the position of Investment Director at Mediterrania Capital Partners, one of the leading investment fund managers operating in the Maghreb and Sub-Saharan Africa. During this period, Oussama was involved in several transactions in Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria and Ivory Coast. He has been responsible for carrying out the entire acquisition process since, the identification of the investment opportunity (“Sourcing”), the study of the opportunity, the preparation of the Memorandum of Investment, the presentation to the Investment Committee, the follow-up of Due Diligences, the negotiation of the legal documentation as well as the supervision of the legal steps related to the closing. In parallel, Oussama has supervised several portfolio companies in Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria in various industries such as, Telecom, IT, household electrical products distribution, car rental and wheat processing. Oussama is a graduate of Polytech Nancy and holds a Master 2 in Applied Mathematics in Finance.

Prior to joining DERENIA CAPITAL, Racem was Senior Manager at Transaction Advisory Services at Ernst & Young Tunisia where he spent 12 years of professional experience in financial transaction services and has assisted investment funds, local and foreign private groups and financial institutions in their investment projects, fundraising transactions, investment transactions and disposals, IPOs and restructuring operations. Racem is an expert in financial due diligences, financial modeling, financial valuation, M&A and financial advisory in fundraising operations. Racem graduated from the Institute of Higher Commercial Studies of Carthage and is Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Karim El Alaoui

Karim joined Derenia Capital as a partner in April 2021. Karim has over 14 years of experience in Investment Banking in ECM, DCM, M&A, Infrastructure financing and Private Equity, particularly within the Group BMCE Bank Of Africa where he held a Director position within the Corporate & Investment Bank. Karim has advised several groups and SMEs of Moroccan and Tunisian nationalities as well as several multinational companies in the context of equity and debt fundraising, M&A, divestment and restructuring transactions totaling more than 1.7 billion USD over several industries: agribusiness, FMCG, real estate, health care, heavy industry, tourism, infrastructure, etc. Throughout his experience, Karim has sourced and advised innovative and structuring transactions for the Moroccan financial market such as the first mortgage bond issue in Morocco and the most important horizontal integration transaction in the agri-supply industry. In 2020, Karim leaded the team that won the Best Financial Advisor award in the Single Deal Advisor Category from the Africa Private Equity Awards. Karim graduated in Finance and Business law from ISCAE Casablanca and Toulouse University.

Othman joined the Derenia Capital team as a Partner in charge of the Real Estate activity since September 2022. He began his career in corporate coverage at HSBC Paris, where he managed a portfolio of multi-sector SMEs (sales of over €150 million). Othman joined the BNP Paribas subsidiary in Casablanca to participate in the set-up of the Real Estate Finance desk within the structured finance team, where he developed a portfolio of hotel clients, promoters and real estate investors, accompanying them on debt raising operations. With the support of BNP Real Estate, the Moroccan desk was able to exceed the Bank's natural share (more than €200 million in assets) with one of the least risky portfolios in the market. After more than 10 years in corporate banking, Othman decided to join the French territorial developer REALITES, as CFO of the African subsidiary. In particular, he set up the administrative and financial department in line with the Group's requirements, but also structured four large-scale operations, three in Morocco and one in Senegal. On the corporate side, and in order to support the Group's development in Africa, he led a road show with various institutions to raise funds. Othman has a grande Ecole Master degree from Montpellier Business School. Passionate about Real Estate, Othman completed his education with the Master 246 (Real Estate Management) from Dauphine in 2018.

Nabil Bajoudi

Nabil joined DERENIA CAPITAL in November 2020 as an analyst after a first experience at Finactu where he was involved in the work of financial analysis, strategic analysis, company valuation and preparation of Investment Memorandum. Previously, Nabil completed his end-of-studies internship at Upline Corporate finance, an investment bank subsidiary of the Banque Centrale Populaire Group. Nabil has a Masters in Finance, Management and Accounting from the National School of Commerce and Management of Casablanca.
